What Is Muscular Dystrophy?
Muscular dystrophy is a serious genetic muscle disease that causes muscles to gradually become weak and damaged.
One common and severe type is Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
It:
• Mostly affects boys
• Starts in early childhood
• Causes progressive muscle weakness
• Is genetic — not contagious
• Is not caused by curses or wrongdoing
Let Us Stop Harmful Myths
Muscular dystrophy:

• ❌ Is NOT caused by evil spirits
• ❌ Is NOT contagious
• ❌ Is NOT the family’s fault
It is a medical condition caused by changes in genes.

This is not just one family’s tragedy.
This is a community call for awareness, compassion, and action.
